I started my first home services business in 1999. I was seventeen years old. Everything I know about houses I learned in a thirty mile radius of Cuyahoga Falls.

In twenty-seven years I have personally remodeled or built more than four hundred homes. I have seen what happens when a homeowner hires the wrong contractor. When they do the kitchen before fixing the foundation. When they spend $40,000 on a bathroom they described from memory to someone who never measured the room. When they get three bids from strangers on the internet and pick the lowest one and regret it.

I also know what it takes to do the work. My wife Erin and I spent three years restoring a farmhouse in Northampton that was originally built in 1834. By hand. Every system. Every finish. I know what it feels like to live in a project, make hard decisions without enough information, and wish someone who actually knew what they were doing was in your corner.

Nobody was helping them think it through. Nobody knew their house. Nobody was in their corner before the contractor showed up.

That is the problem HBC exists to solve.

On the other side of that same problem are the trade partners, the roofers, plumbers, and finish carpenters I have worked alongside for decades. Good craftsmen who spend half their day driving to jobs that were never properly scoped, quoting work that was never properly explained, and losing bids to someone cheaper who will do it wrong. They deserve better clients. Pre-qualified. Pre-documented. Ready to move.

HBC sits in the middle of that relationship. We build the digital twin. We scope the work. We brief the contractor. We stay the advisor. Homeowners stop doing things in the dark. Trade partners stop wasting time. Everyone wins.

I live here. My wife Erin and I are raising four kids in Woodridge schools. I coach. I sit on local boards. I shop at the same hardware stores my clients do. This is not a platform. This is my community.
